Where we started.

Contented founders Hannah Hardy-Jones and Lucy Pink at the company's early days

Contented was founded in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2023 by Hannah Hardy-Jones and Lucy Pink, who met at a start-up incubator.

Between Hannah’s background in HR and mental health, and self-taught coder Lucy’s obsession with product, they discovered two things: conversations are massively underused in business, and the AI tools capturing them are average, at best.

Contented is trusted by hundreds of organisations globally. We support teams across professional services, construction, government, and enterprise - collectively producing more than 16,000 documents a month. Our customers have captured millions of minutes of conversations.
