'Doubled our press coverage' because it was so fast.

SportNXT is the world's largest sports industry conference, bringing together professionals from across the sector for two packed days of sessions, panels, and conversations. For marketing partner MKTG Sports + Entertainment, the challenge for the event was familiar: how do you capture everything that happens, turn it around fast, and make it useful for journalists, social media, sponsors, and industry audiences?

Previously, the MKTG team had people sitting in every session, handwriting notes and quotes to share afterwards. The AV team handled recordings separately, creating a disjointed process where the people capturing content and the people writing it were rarely in the same loop. It was slow, fragmented, and hard to scale.

For SportNXT in Melbourne, MKTG worked with Contented to capture every session, breakout, and masterclass across two days.

Using the Contented app on a dedicated device, a single team member recorded sessions on the go, labelled speakers, and had transcripts and insights ready within minutes. Everything fed into a branded MKTG workspace, where the whole team - including those offsite - could create content, share, and collaborate in one place. Stephanie Rudnick, Head of MKTG PR, said afterwards:

"We doubled our press coverage because our speed in providing journalists with recaps, quotes, and transcripts made it much easier for them to cover things quickly."

Key quotes were pulled from sessions and ready to post on social media. Recaps were produced the same day.

"We loved how fast it surfaces the insights, feeds our thought leadership and reports, and pulls the best quotes from across the Summit. It meant our team could be in the room, present and absorbing, rather than heads down taking notes."

After the conference, the team went deeper, pulling themes across sessions on topics like AI and fan engagement, and building white papers and longer-form documentation for industry, government, and media audiences.

Contented also made it possible to tailor content for different audiences. Material for partnership managers looked different from content aimed at operational managers, making each piece more relevant and more useful. As one team member put it, people do not have time to rewatch full sessions, so having content in bite-sized, targeted pieces makes the attendee experience far more complete.

The setup was straightforward. Contented built the branded workspace in two days, and a planning session upfront helped align on goals before the event began.

"Thank you to Hannah, Lucy, Jack and the team for being alongside our MKTG and SportNXT crew every step of the way, and for helping take the brilliance shared within these four walls out to the world."

How did it work?

For MKTG Sports + Entertainment, Contented replaced a slow, manual process with a scalable content engine. The team had one shared workspace where recordings, transcripts, quotes, and content all lived. Nothing was lost across two days of sessions.

What content was created?

The event's press coverage doubled thanks to the speed of content. Journalists and media contacts got transcripts, audio, and insights fast. Social media teams had key quotes ready to post almost immediately. Content, white papers, recaps, and industry documentation could be shaped for specific audiences. Rather than sharing slide decks or full video recordings, MKTG could offer targeted, digestible content that reflected the conversations across the conference.

How did it impact the team?

For the team on the ground and offsite, the shift was practical and immediate. One person could handle recording, labelling, and transcripts. Collaboration happened in real time through the shared group workspace. The pressure of capturing everything in the moment eased, because the content was searchable and organised, ready to be worked with once the sessions were done.
